Network 4 Change is working with local community parents to develop a before and after school program for school age children. The program will be offered school days only with the possibility of ’special’ kids adventure days for school professional development days.
The program will be designed to accommodate 12 students at a time. Hours of operation will be 7:30a.m.-9a.m. and 3:30p.m.-6:30p.m.
Crafty Kids will be offered in the mornings from 7:30-9a.m.
Kids in the Kitchen will be offered in the afternoons from 3:30-6:30p.m.
Registration is required at a cost of $10.00/day/child for both sessions and $7.50/day/child for only one session. Registration will be in two week blocks, and payment must be submitted prior to service (based on days registered). Registration will be based on a first come first serve basis.
Transportation to school and from school will be provided (parents must drop off and pick up from program)
Breakfast and snack will be provided with a Kids in the Kitchen component added to the program (Kids help prepare the food)
THE LATEST UPDATE:
- Network 4 Change has been in contact with the Coordinator of Day Care Liscencing who is gathering more information for the province to determine whether or not we qualify as a ’social service agency’.
- Network 4 Change is waiting on a response to an “exemption from liscencing” request submitted to Family Services and Housing
