I am member of the Board of Directors for Network 4 Change and have been since the creation of this community organization.
I was born and raised in Beausejour , graduating from Edward Schreyer School in 1987. And now, I am back at the school as the Principal. It is a unique and wonderful experience to be contributing back to my home community and I truly enjoy the staff, students and parents of our school.
My experience in the field of education started at U of M in 1987 where I received my Bachelor in Education in 1991. I began teaching at Silver Heights Collegiate in Winnipeg where I taught both French Immersion and International Baccalaureate Mathematics. After 8 ½ years there, I took a position at École Golden Gate for the next 2½ years. My role there was Assistant Principal and also teaching some Mathematics and Physical Education. Those first 11 years in St. James gave me the experience and expertise to land a job in Beausejour as the Assistant Principal. Three years later finds me in the role of Principal. I have obtained my Post Baccalaureate in Educational Administration as well as my level 1 and level 2 Administrator’s certificates along the way as well.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family who all live in either Beausejour or Oakbank. I am still active in many sports, including volleyball, curling, golf and canoeing. I love to read just about anything and am an avid traveler, always looking for that new and exciting destination.
