February 16, 2009 @ the SunGro Centre. WinterFest is a winter family festival. This year’s event begins with a Pancake Breakfast from 9:30 - 11:00 am, and goes on from there with lots of outdoor and indoor activities:
- speed skating demonstration and your chance to try it out later
- crafty corner for kids
- The Winnipeg Jets Alumni and friends will be coming out to play an exhibition game against the local BBMHA players @4:30
- Square dancing demonstrations
- Olympic torch from the 2006 Torino Olympics - touch, hold and take pics!
- Skate with the Blades
- Free public skating in the morning
- Wacky Sled Race
- Sleigh Rides
- Polar Bear Golf
