Luis Coelho - Chair
I’ve come a long way to be living in Beausejour. I was born in Portugal and lived there till I was 14, when I came to Canada, (Winnipeg), with my parents.
Social work was my calling and I graduated from University of Manitoba in 1978—yes I know that’s a long time ago—don’t remind me. I’ve spent most of my professional life working for Child and Family Services, in Winnipeg, until I moved to Beausejour, with my family in July 1999. I’ve continued to work for Child and Family Services in Eastman.
I’ve had a great interest in supporting Fathers to be Better Dad’s and have offered the Better Fathering Group in Beausejour, a number of times over the last few years.
I’ve coached soccer, when my kids were younger, and have been a member of the Beausejour Community Resource Team.
I have a wife and 4 children and we’ve enjoyed getting to know Eastman and the fine folks who live here. My oldest child in now in University and my youngest goes to ESS.
I became a Board Member of Network 4 Change when it was first formed and its been gratifying to see it continue to grow to meet the needs of our community. I’m happy to contribute in any way I can to this wonderful Community Resource Centre.
Bonnie Stefannson
As the Wellness Facilitator with the Beausejour-Brokenhead District of North Eastman Health Association, I have the pleasure of working with a variety of community groups and organizations, including Network 4 Change. My role is to help and encourage people to make healthy lifestyle choices, and to work with various organizations to create environments that support those choices. Our goal is to make the healthy choice the easy choice when it comes to healthy eating, getting active, being tobacco free, and reducing stress and injuries.
At home in the winter months, my two daughters and I enjoy the exhilarating on-ice game of Ringette. My husband Jay is a Ringette coach and our #1 fan. In the lazy days of summer, we all enjoy the fun that the lake has to offer and visiting with friends and family.

Cathy Tymko
I am member of the Board of Directors for Network 4 Change and have been since the creation of this community organization.
I was born and raised in Beausejour , graduating from Edward Schreyer School in 1987. And now, I am back at the school as the Principal. It is a unique and wonderful experience to be contributing back to my home community and I truly enjoy the staff, students and parents of our school.
My experience in the field of education started at U of M in 1987 where I received my Bachelor in Education in 1991. I began teaching at Silver Heights Collegiate in Winnipeg where I taught both French Immersion and International Baccalaureate Mathematics. After 8 ½ years there, I took a position at École Golden Gate for the next 2½ years. My role there was Assistant Principal and also teaching some Mathematics and Physical Education. Those first 11 years in St. James gave me the experience and expertise to land a job in Beausejour as the Assistant Principal. Three years later finds me in the role of Principal. I have obtained my Post Baccalaureate in Educational Administration as well as my level 1 and level 2 Administrator’s certificates along the way as well.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family who all live in either Beausejour or Oakbank. I am still active in many sports, including volleyball, curling, golf and canoeing. I love to read just about anything and am an avid traveler, always looking for that new and exciting destination.
